Only one month after it's delivery to the Belgian Air Force, Supermarine Spitfire F.14e RM679/(MN)-F (registration SG-23 attributed but never worn) was involved in a collision with NH712/(MN)-O (future SG-20) during line up for formation take-off at Beauvechain on 24 November 1947. The extend of the damage was such that the aircraft was not repaired.
