Republic F-84G Thunderjet FZ-32 of n° 27 Squadron based at Kleine Brogel after a field landing at Geilenkirchen (D.) on January 25th, 1954. Sgt. Paul Bauwens made dusk "touch and go's" at the German airbase when his engine exploded. The aircraft crashed a mile beyond the runway bursting into flames. Fortunately the pilot got out of the aircraft and remained unhurt.
