To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Belgian Air Force as an independent arm no less than 230 operational aircraft were lined up at Brustem airbase on 11 October 1956. Gloster Meteor F.8 EG-237/VAN the personal mount of Lt.Col Albert "Van" Eeckhout commander of the 1st Wing flying group is heading the line-up.
