Dassault Falcon 7X
Three engine long range corporate jet seating 12 to 16 passengers
The Belgian Defence has dry-leased two Dassault Falcon 7X business jets from Luxaviation (formerly Abelag) which replace both of the retired Falcon 20’s and the sole Falcon 900B. Main task will be the transport of passengers and (V)VIPs (members of the royal family, ministers of the Belgian government or European institutions officials). The Belgian Defence’s, €124 million contract with Luxaviation provides for the two Falcon 7X’s over a period of 12 years. Both aircraft are to be operated by the 15th Air Transport Wing based at Melsbroek airbase. The initial Falcon 7X was handed over at the end of April 2020 and has been received the civilian registration OO-LUM (for Luchtmacht). The second machine (OO-FAE – for Force Aérienne) arrived mid-August 2020 and after a short stop at its future base flew to Leliestad (Nl.) where a governmental livery was applied. Both aircraft are official operational since October 1st, 2020.
