Observer: 04 Aug 1916 - 5 Sqn, C74 - Wings: 1918 - 4 Sqn - Michaux was killed in the crash of a Levy-Lepen seaplane of the Ligne Aérienne Roi Albert (LARA) at Leopoldville /-stad (Belgian Congo) on 13 May 1921.

Career
Wings: 25 Sep 1911 - "Chef du Parc d'Aviation" at Calais-Beaumarais (F.), designed improved Farman pusher aircraft called GN.1 to GN.6 (see https://www.belgian-wings.be/farman-nelis-gn1-gn6 ), after WWI he created together with Tony Orta the "Syndicat National pour l'Etude des Transports Aériens" or SNETA, which later became Sabena. Nélis died of illness on 02 Mar 1929 merely 43 years old.
