This prototype trainer-aircraft was developed by "Les Ateliers de Construction Aéronautiques Belges" (LACAB) and constructed by the Ateliers Jef Guldentops. In 1934 the aircraft was presented to the Belgian authorities but lost the competition for a new training-aircraft against the SV-5. During the competition the aircraft received the AéM serial I-1.
