Upon returning from a gunnery mission on August 5th, 1957 the pilot of Hawker Hunter F.4 ID-109/7J-R noted that the nose wheel did not lower. After trying the emergency system without success he made a good nose landing at Chièvres airbase, keeping damage to a minimum.
