In March 1915 the Belgians captured intact an Albatros B.II which landed by mistake behind the front.
Mecanics at Koksijde-Sint-Idesbald dismantled the aircraft and it was shipped to Le Beau-Marais airfield.

On 15 April 1915 1Sgt. Willy Leroy of 2 Squadron made a rather heavy landing at Adinkerke definitively writing-off the precious machine.
