De Havilland DH.60M/G Gipsy Moth

This De Havilland DH.60M Moth (c/n 1717) was used by Belgian WW I ace Willy Coppens when he was Military attaché at Paris and London. The aircraft was impressed in the RAF at the beginning of WW II as MX463 and was returned to Belgium in 1946 to serve as instructional airframe at the Saffraanberg Technical School.

An ex-Belgian civil De Havilland DH.60G Moth (OO-GUY) was impressed into the Aéronautique Militaire on 26 August 1939 and served as "estafette" for 6/III/2 Aé. This aircraft is seen here at Vissenaken airfield in January 1940.
