Hawker Hurricane H-23 was the first of a second batch of 12 aircraft delivered to the Aéronautique Militaire in June 1939.

A total of 21 Hurricanes were used by the Belgian Forces including one aircraft (H-42) produced under license by Fairey

at Gosselies before the start of the war.

Hawker Hurricane H-42 was the only machine of the Belgian production line at Fairey Gosselies to be delivered to the

Aéronautique Militaire on the ...10th May 1940!  Two more Hurricanes were finished, one of which made its first flight

on the 9 May 1940, piloted by Eyskens.

Hawker Hurricane I H-39

 

Hawker Hurricane I H-39 (N2361) was the last Hurricane delivered to the Aéronautique Militaire Belge by the British company before

the start of World War II and featured a three-blade propeller and black and white undersurfaces as adopted by the RAF in 1938.
