Since the interbellum a landing strip existed near the Lombardsijde barracks. Little is known about its use before the war, but in the sixties and seventies it was regularly used by the Light Aviation of the Army. The picture shows the strip as it looks today. If any of our readers can provide more information or pictures about this landing strip and its use it would be most welcome.
