Alpha Jet AT-29

First of the Alpha Jet demonstration aircraft, AT29 is inspected by its pilot Cdt. Louis "Louitje" Baum before the first flight after roll-out in new paint job on 26 Juin 1987. For a couple of weeks, the aircraft wore a huge "40" on its tail to commemorate 40 years of presence at Brustem airbase.

"Louitje" Baum's Belgian tricolore bedecked Alpha Jet AT29 (right) with AT11 (left) in beautiful "Batbird" colours for the 70th anniversary of N° 11 "Bat" squadron.  Both aircraft are seen at Brustem during the "Batbird" rollout on 7 October 1988.
