Short Stirling C.V OO-XAC was the first of 6 such aircraft acquired for use by the company "Trans-Air" in 1947. OO-XAC crashed at Kunming, China on 22 December 1947. The remaining ex-RAF bombers were all sold by the end of 1948 to Tangiers Air Charter Co Ltd except for OO-XAL which was sold in Czechoslovakia.
