In 1947 the Belgian company "Trans-Air" bought this Handley Page Halifax (ex RAF RG763) but for an unknown reason the machine was never taken on charge by Trans-Air. Although the registration was painted on the aircraft, as seen on the picture taken at Gatwick, it was never taken up. Unconfirmed reports state that the aircraft as above has been noticed at the Knokke-Het Zoute airfield in 1947.
