| In 1956 some twelve Convair 440
"Metropolitans" were acquired by Sabena to replace the older version
of the same design, the Covair 240 "Liner". The
"Metropolitan" was equipped with a weather-radar and could accommodate
52 passengers. The Convair taxiing at Melsbroek airport was registered OO-SCK
