Miles Magister M.14A

Miles M.14A Magister OO-NIC

Miles Magister OO-NIC (ex-G1, TMR 50, DMT 50 Belgian Air Force and T9800 RAF) was in fact a composite of two Maggie’s assembled to form the T9800. The two aircraft used were c/n 1992/T9800 and 2037/T9705. After service with the Belgian Air Force the machine was sold in April 1954 to Mr. De Coster of Brussels. Ownership changed often and the Magister ended up on the dump of Sint-Denijs-Westrem airfield where it is seen above in the early seventies. After being severely damaged by bad weather and vandals the Aeronautical Dept of the Royal Army Museum obtained the wreck. AELR volunteers completely restored the Maggie in its former RAF glory as T9800 and as such it is visible at the Brussels Air Museum.
