Wilrijk aerodrome during the first "heavier than air" meeting, called the "Luchtvaartweek", held between 23 October and 2 November 1909. On this aerial photograph at least three Farman-type of aircraft can be recognised. However, the undisputed highlight of the show was the presentation of the "Zodiac" airship, which was normally housed in the huge hangar seen in the center of the picture. Entrance prices were 10 Bfr. for the "A" tribune, 5 Bfr. for the "B" tribune, while the "common" people paid 2 Bfr (with shelter), 1 Bfr or 80 Centiemes depending on the distance to the aerodrome.
