On September 30th, 2014 the event “Wings For Children” was organised at Antwerpen Airport. “Wings for Children” provides the opportunity to children and people who are mentally or physically disabled, to enjoy a day on the airfield, close to the planes and even more so in the sky. Since 1971 this event was organised for the 30th time and approximately 1500 people attended this event.

By putting their aircraft available, various companies have made it possible for the guests to have a rendezvous up in the clouds.
Many other sponsors were present as well to make this an unforgettable day.
The organisation and the volunteers of Wings For Children, an initiative by Jeugd en Luchtvaart, have given the best of themselves to make it a tremendous success.
The biggest thanks they can get are the smiles on the happy faces of their guests.
Looking forward to 2016 for the 31st edition of this marvellous initiative.
