MD-900 Explorer G-16 the newest helicopter of the Federal Police

 

 

On Monday October 11th, 2010 the AIr Support Unit of the Belgian Federal Police based  at Melsbroek received an additional helicopter to enlarge the fleet of their three MD 900 Explorers.

The helicopter has a more powerful engine en also the avionics are of a newer type then the MD-900 now is use. This makes this beauty able to get airborne and perform under the worst weather-conditions.

 The new Explorer will bear the serial-number G-16.

Like his predecessors it’s also a “Notar” or “no tail rotor” type of helicopter.

  The mechanics took good care of the G-16 to show it shiny as possible. So this bird could be rolled out in a perfect conditions.
